Industrial version of the weld seam tracking system

Thanks to the round-the-clock efforts of our colleagues, we have finally succeeded in building an industrial version of the seam tracking system The trade name of the industrial version of the weld seam tracking system is RA-ALSTS-5000. The elements of this system were designed with great precision. For this reason, this domestic version appears to be a very serious competitor to similar foreign products.

In plants that make large-diameter water and gas pipes, the welding nozzle must stay exactly in the middle of the seam. This matters in both spiral and straight-seam welding. Human error pulls the nozzle off the seam. The result of this drift is lack of sidewall fusion or lack of weld penetration.
This system keeps the nozzle on the seam automatically. The nozzle height is also adjusted automatically. The system runs without interruption through long shifts. Deviation errors and repair costs drop compared with manual work. Control accuracy and weld quality go up.
The know-how behind this system was developed in Iran. Feedback from Iranian operators went into its design. Its simple operation lets operators with different levels of expertise work with it easily. The system is not limited to the pipe industry. Car manufacturing and steel building construction also need to locate seams, gaps or bulges precisely.
With manual welding, the operator must keep their eyes on the seam for the whole shift. Every time the nozzle leaves the seam, the part needs repair. An automatic system takes this burden off the operator. The operator supervises the process and has more time for quality control.
This system is designed and built in three versions. See the models and benefits on the Iranian-made seam tracking system page. For a general introduction to this process, read the Welding article on Wikipedia.
