1.4-megapixel colour image processing camera

1.4-megapixel colour image processing camera was designed and built in Iran. The camera's resolution is 1360 × 1024 pixels. It is a progressive-scan colour camera. To see more cameras, please browse the Area Scan Camera menu.
An area scan image processing camera builds a complete image of its field of view in every frame. This sets it apart from a line scan camera. A resolution of 1360 × 1024 pixels gives you good detail of the scene. The progressive sensor also captures all the lines of the image in one pass.
RasaAndishan area scan cameras are used in particle image velocimetry. Their other applications include digital image correlation (DIC), license plate reading, and machine vision. The color version also lets you include the color of objects in your processing.
Area scan camera sensors are usually CCD or CMOS. CMOS sensors run at lower voltage and current and consume less power. CCDs, in return, have better image quality. All RasaAndishan cameras have an external trigger. For example, if you synchronize the trigger with the fan's rotation and use a short exposure, you see the blades of a fan spinning at 4000 rpm standing still.
RasaAndishan area scan cameras cover both USB2 and USB3 interfaces. Sensors for these cameras come in different sizes, such as 1/3, 1/2 and 2/3 inch. In a machine vision system, the camera, optics and lighting are the most important parts. Choosing these three correctly makes software processing simpler. So before you buy, consider the right lens and lighting too. If the parts are stationary and detail matters, higher resolution helps you more. If the parts are moving, frame rate and external triggering matter more.
