Successful test of the Iranian photo finish system at the Dragon Boat races, Azadi Sport Complex
In June 2024, the Iranian-made RA-PFS-3000 photo finish system was tested at the Dragon Boat races at Azadi Sport Complex and, happily, met with the approval of the organising and IT teams. Sample images from the Iranian photo finish system are shown below. Compatibility with all Canon electronic lenses, very easy finish-line alignment, 300-millionth-of-a-second accuracy, 2700-pixel imaging, sophisticated Lux Boost hardware and software technology for adjusting to lighting conditions with a single click, and expert support during competitions make this all-Iranian system the ideal choice for every racing event in the country.
In dragon boat races, several boats reach the finish line at high speed and very close together. At such a moment, the judge cannot rely on the eye alone. The finish line photo is the most important evidence for deciding the winner. It also records each competitor's exact crossing time.
The RA-PFS-3000 photo finish system is designed for exactly these moments. Its motorized mechanism sets up the mirror and the finish line in less than 20 seconds. Another motorized mechanism adjusts the field of view in the tilt direction. The system software has several operating modes. With these modes you can set the time display precision from 0.1 second to 0.00001 second (five decimal places). The software also crops the empty space between competitors. You can round times or add a time offset.
Model 3000 also has all the features of Model 2000. Lux Boost technology adjusts the lighting settings with a single click. This way, rapid changes in sunlight, especially near sunset, don't force you to adjust the shutter by hand. Full documentation in Persian and online training are also provided with the system.
The system is used in athletics, cycling, rowing, motor racing and horse racing. To see the model comparison table and download the catalogue, go to the Iranian-made photo finish system page.
