Line scan camera

A line scan camera captures only one line of the object at a time. If the object passes the camera at constant speed, the lines follow one after another. Together, these lines form a complete 2D image. This method is well suited to moving objects on a conveyor belt.
The RA-LSC-0718 has three separate sensor rows for red, green and blue. Each row has 5363 pixels of 8 × 8 μm. The rows are 42.904 mm long. This way, every point on the object is measured directly in all three colors. The camera's line rate is 1020 lines per second. Its dynamic range reaches 10670:1. Its spectral response covers visible light only, from 400 to 700 nm.
We recommend this line scan camera for sorting products by color. Print and color inspection is another main use. You can scan documents and artwork with it. The camera can also measure an object's width using color.
