Iranian photo finish system successfully tested at athletics championships at the Aftab-e Enghelab Complex
In July 2024, the Iranian-made RA-PFS-3000 photo finish system was tested at the national athletics championships at the Aftab-e Enghelab Complex and, we are pleased to report, met with the approval of the event's organising team. Sample images from the Iranian photo finish system are shown below. Compatibility with a range of Canon electronic lenses, very easy finish-line alignment, an accuracy of 300 millionths of a second, 2700-pixel imaging quality, the sophisticated Lux Boost hardware and software technology for adjusting lighting conditions with a single click, and expert support during competitions make this fully Iranian system the ideal choice for all racing competitions in the country.
In Athletics Sometimes several runners reach the finish line almost at the same time. At that moment, the judge needs reliable evidence to decide the winner. The finish line photo is that evidence. It also shows each runner's exact crossing time.
The RA-PFS-3000 photo finish system makes judging easier. Lux Boost technology adjusts the lighting settings with a single click. Focus and light level of the Canon electronic lenses are also set from within the software. The motorized mechanism gets the mirror and finish line ready in less than 20 seconds. The system software crops out the empty space between competitors. This way the judge sees all the runners in a more compact image.
The filter activation mechanism improves the image's colour accuracy. In the current generation this filter is always on and the camera sees the 400–700 nm range. Another motorised mechanism adjusts the field of view vertically. You can also choose the time display precision from 0.1 to 0.00001 s (five decimal places) using software modes.
Full documentation in Persian and online training are provided with the system. At critical moments during a race you can also call our technical experts. For a full introduction to the system, see the Iranian-made photo finish system.
