Linear CCD detector

A linear detector, or line scan camera, is an electronic interface circuit. This circuit sets the sensor's exposure time, amplifies the analog pixel signal, and adjusts its zero level. It then converts the signal to digital data, applies digital filters to it, and sends the data to the computer. The interface software displays the line sensor's image the way the user wants. With these cameras, the object and the camera must move relative to each other to form a 2D image. Applications of line scan cameras include solar sensors, barcode readers, scanners, spectroscopy, and systems that measure thickness, distance, speed, angle, color, vibration, and light intensity. The figure below shows a sample of the company's detectors.
