Smart monitoring of tyre width

rahni

In the tyre industry, precise quality control and dimensional monitoring of the various components, particularly tyre width, are of great importance. For this purpose, using high-resolution line scan cameras, such as the 20,000-pixel cameras made by RasaAndishan Mowj Pardaz, is a professional and efficient solution.

These cameras capture images of the surface of moving objects line by line. This lets you carry out precise, continuous, very high-quality monitoring. In tire production, especially at the final output stage, you can use these cameras together with image processing software or smart systems to measure width well and accurately.

The company RasaAndishan Mowj Pardaz is the only Iranian designer and manufacturer of this type of camera. Our customers and partner companies in machine vision and industrial automation have used these cameras on production lines and have built width monitoring, quality control and automatic alarm systems with them.

Key features of these cameras include:

  • True 20,000-pixel resolution Suitable for monitoring the finest variations
  • Rugged industrial design for operation in harsh production environments
  • Full technical support for integration with various systems
  • Suitable for high production speeds

With RasaAndishan Mowj Pardaz industrial line scan cameras, you can build a strong foundation for smart automation projects in the tire industry and similar industries. In addition, if customers need it, partner teams can also design and implement the image processing software and algorithms.

How does a line scan camera measure tire width?

Unlike an area scan camera, a line scan camera images only one line. As the tire passes in front of the camera, the lines stack side by side and form a complete image. The width of this image equals the camera's resolution. That is why a camera with more pixels shows smaller changes in tire width.

This method is one of the common applications of machine vision on production lines. To learn more about the principles of this technology, see the Line scan cameras.
