Iranian photo finish system successfully tested at Gonbad-e Kavus horse races
In spring 2024, an advanced version of the Iranian-made photo finish system was installed and commissioned in Gonbad-e Kavus, the heartland of horse racing in Iran, and was approved by the race organisers of Golestan Province قرار گرفت. خوشبختانه مجریان مسابقات اسبدوانی یزد هم نمونه پیشرفته این سیستم را برای میدان سوارکاری یزد خریدند و این سیستم was approved by the race organisers of Yazd Province as well.
Operating a photo finish system is very difficult for non-specialists, and they must be trained. Operating the advanced system made by RasaAndishan, however, requires no special expertise. A few clicks in the photo finish software are enough to set the finish line, the opposite mirror, focus and the desired light intensity.

Iranian-made photo finish system, model RA-PFS-3000
In horse racing, the margin between competitors at the finish line is sometimes very small. At such moments, the naked eye cannot identify the winner with confidence. A finish line photo solves this problem. It greatly reduces the chance of announcing an unclear or incorrect result.
The RasaAndishan photo finish system has evolved over several generations. The Model 2000 was equipped with Canon motorized lenses and Lux Boost technology. In this model, focus and light intensity are adjusted from within the software. The Model 3000 has a motorized pan and tilt mechanism. With this mechanism, the mirror and the finish line are set up in less than 20 seconds. In this model you can set the time display precision from 0.1 second to 0.00001 second (five decimal places).
Full documentation in Persian and online training are also provided with the system. To compare the models and see more images, see the Iranian-made photo finish system.
