752 × 582-pixel area scan camera
This area scan camera has 752 × 582 pixels and is the first VGA camera made in Iran. RasaAndishan designed and built it in Aban 1395 (November 2016). The camera is interlaced.
Through software settings, this area scan camera captures 13, 17 or 26 full frames per second. The camera displays and saves the image in real time. This area scan camera is monochrome and suits laboratory work.

See this camera's specifications on the RA-ASC-0229 camera page. Other models are listed in the image processing camera section.
This camera is known as the RA-ASC-0229. It has a CCD sensor and reads the image by interlacing. In this method, the odd and even lines of the image are captured in two separate half-frames.
The camera's sensor is monochrome and sensitive from 400 to 1000 nm. So besides visible light, the camera also sees near infrared. The 8-bit image reaches the computer over USB at 480 Mbit/s. An analog output is also provided for direct connection to a monitor.
We built this camera mainly for lab work. Its applications include monochrome microscopy and recording experiments. You can use it to observe spots and beams of light. This camera is also a good choice for machine vision training and prototyping.
Interlacing was common in older video cameras. It gives good results for still or slow-moving scenes. Design and production of this camera was completed in November 2016. If you need higher resolution or speed, also look at the company's other area scan cameras. For example, the RA-ASC-0267 has a 1360 × 1024 pixel CCD sensor. The RA-ASC-0134-I, with a CMOS sensor, captures up to 72 frames per second.
See the full specifications on the 0.4-megapixel camera, model RA-ASC-0229 page. To learn about interlacing, read the Interlaced video article on Wikipedia.
