RA-LSC-1402 line scan imaging camera
We designed the RA-LSC-1402 line scan imaging camera for jobs that need high speed and wide dynamic range but not high resolution. RasaAndishan completed the camera in Dey 1394 (January 2016). This line scan imaging camera reads 27,625 lines per second.

See the full technical specifications on the RA-LSC-1402 line scan camera page. All models are listed in the line scan camera section.
The main strength of the RA-LSC-1402 is speed. The camera reads 27,625 lines per second. That means you get a complete line every 36.2 μs. The trade-off is a small pixel count. Its sensor has 256 large pixels over a length of 16.248 mm.
An object moving at 1 m/s travels only 36 μm between two lines. So you can track the edges and positions of objects on very fast lines. Counting objects and detecting their presence are also uses of this camera. Its large pixels collect enough light even with short exposures. This makes tracking a laser spot easy.
If you spread the 300–1100 nm band across 256 pixels, each pixel sees about 3.1 nm of the spectrum. This resolution is enough for process monitoring. In return, you get up to 27,625 spectra per second. When the light source is weak, raise the exposure to as much as 14.5 minutes. Gain can be set in 64 steps up to 6 V/V. Even at the maximum line rate, the data volume is about 113 Mbit/s. A 480 Mbit/s USB port handles this easily.
RasaAndishan offers free consultation for its line scan cameras. The cameras come with a three-year unconditional warranty. Our technical team will also help you set the camera up in your own software.
The camera's dynamic range reaches 4000:1. Its output is digitized with a 16-bit converter. See the full specifications on the RA-LSC-1402 256-pixel line scan camera page. To learn about the applications of this technology, read the Machine vision article on Wikipedia.
